Metering Skid
Metering Skid
Problems
As the worldwide demand for oil and gas increases, deep water offshore explorations are facing tough times as they require heavy capital expenses, burdened by reduction in production operation expense budgets and compounded by Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements while maintaining the companies’ goals for a ‘greener image’.
This raises standards of operations even higher, demands placed on accurate hydrocarbon measurement with minimal maintenance and space and weight requirements become ever increasingly greater. All these tips the balance of managing operations within thin margins.
Roles & Responsibilities
For mission-critical applications, the solution is designed to run in totally redundant operations. During automatic sampling, the water-cut monitor and divert valve helps protect the pipeline against delivery of “contaminated oil”.
Apart from hardware, the local software control system has an interface to integrate with higher level information systems. The control system works from basic designing to site commissioning which includes delivery of control and administration system and/or integration into existing systems. It also has remote access capabilities to supervisory system for centralized reporting and maintenance. The key value here is to ensure consistent billing procedures that assures all condensate quantities are accurately measured, therefore, allowing the operator to precisely determine all the produced condensate loads received and processed.
Solutions
Redundant supervisory system
100% Redundant capability included monitoring & control scada, flow computer communication, Yokogawa DCS establishment
Cost effective flow computer solutions
Retrieve metering skid parameter included density, mass flowrate and Totals for accuracy skid calculation.
Accurate & Precise Billing report generation from certified flow computer
Automatic sampling system
Provided two sampling types which are time proportional & flow proportional
Small volume prover
- Determine meter factors
- Verified with calibrated volume in prover along with densitometer
Designed to provide uncertainty equals or better than ±0.30% of mass and standard volume with 95% confidence level within operation conditions.
Automate metering skid with user interface available to allow motorized valve in skid to be controlled to perform normal production, proving or maintenance.
